It is my pleasure to start this Blog, ANQA JEWELRY. I look forward to showing you all of my treasured pieces, that are for sale at my Etsy Shop of the same name.

A little about my shop, and Myself, as a Jewelry Designer and Artisan.

Anqa Jewelry is located in the White Mountains, New Hampshire, USA. I make all my pieces, myself. I am a one woman band.

Plymouth is a very small town. There is one place for Jewelry Designers to show and sell their work and as I am more of a laid back person, this shop was not for me. I am not a Professional Bead maker or Glass Blower and I do not have Thousands of Dollars worth of Jewelry making Machinery. When I entered the shop, I felt it was a bit too Hoity Toity for my preferences and abilities.

I am a hands on, Wire twisting, Bead-Stringing Jewelry Maker. My work is casual but also very fitting for upscale events and nights out. 

Here are just a few of my pieces. As you can see, some have an element of fun while using high end Swavorski crystals and others are classic and unpretentious. 

I use only good quality beads, mainly Crystals and Gemstones, If I come across hand blown beads and other one of a kind components and they catch my heart, I will implement them into my designs.

I try to make all components by hand (not beads and stones though). I write descriptions that will accurately describe the pieces, what is handmade, handcrafted and also what is bought ready made. 

ABOUT ME

I am a mother of 3 wonderful young sons, 20, 11 and 7. They are my Life. Everything I do is for them and my desire to help them grow into fine men. My oldest is the first to have past the adolescent years and is a fine gentleman. The younger ones, need a bit more work. 

I used to be an English Teacher, I taught in the USA and also in other countries. I love teaching, especially when a student finally understand a problem and their eyes light up from pride of "getting it".

Now, am Totally Disabled and Doctors say it is permanent. I struggle to get up in the mornings. But, I am a fighter so I do not expect it to beat me, totally. 

 I am easy going and Designing Jewelry and Accessories is my passion. It was never something I thought of doing when I was younger. However, here I am. Beads surround me, Tools and findings are part of my personal Feng Shui. (Just kidding).

I have no grandiose ideas of becoming rich in selling my wares. However, I would like to be able to give my sons a better life. 

As for pricing my pieces, I do not over price or under-price. I believe I have found a formula that is fair and balanced (not like Fox News) I do not undervalue my work, but I believe that adornments have a spot in our culture and should be affordable to everyone. 

My prices reflect the cost of materials and operating costs, with a small labor cost for myself. I do not wish to gauge anyone because I believe in Karma, honesty and providing the best at the appropriate price. 

I am proud to be able to open my Etsy Storefront and am so excited to have the opportunity to share my work with you.
